Publication standard: Every release must be approved by the County Attorney or a designee before publication. Pending charges must be described as allegations, and the release must preserve the presumption of innocence and fair-trial rights. Do not publish protected information identifying victims, minors, juvenile or child-in-need-of-care parties, sealed matters, or confidential records. Verify the case status and any appeal status, and provide a correction contact.
